After a hard-fought game on Saturday evening against a tough Red-Deer Titans team, the Irish ladies senior Division 1 team came out victorious by a score of 45-24, putting the game to bed with a flurry of tries in the last 10 minutes. This came after the ladies enjoyed the lion’s share of possession and territory for most of the game, wearing their opponents down in a physical and tiring game in the heavy evening heat. After managing to go unbeaten in all competitive games this season, this most recent victory caps off an incredible season.
Huge congratulations to the all of the ladies involved throughout the season, along with their coaching team. It is a massive achievement that began with the re-introduction of the women’s program 4 years ago and with a young and talented squad, the ladies are looking forward to more success in the coming years.
Well done ladies,
Outdoor practice is starting this Tuesday, April 04, for both men’s and women’s senior teams. Be ready to go for 6:30! U21 players are also welcome to come practice with the senior teams. We will be on the training area, not the playing fields for the first little while.
See you out there!
