It’s with great sadness and a profound sense of loss that the CCIAC announce the passing of our founding member and driving force F.G (Derick) Wright.

Derick along with Jimmy Sullivan promoted Rugby and Field Hockey at the CCIAC from the 70’s, both were great ambassadors encouraging youth in the sport they both loved.

Derick played and coached at Club and Provincial level, within Calgary and Alberta he was well respected by all clubs as a member in Canada and Ireland

His greatest legacy is his family our condolences go out to Brennan, Laura and families at this sad time. 

A Celebration of Derick’s Life will be held on;
