The CCIAC remains one of Alberta’s premier clubs and owes its success to the dedicated hard work of the many volunteer members and supporters who have selflessly dedicated their time throughout the years. The 2019 season will build on this tradition with the specific goal of improving upon the volunteering characteristics of the active membership base. In order to achieve this goal, the club has developed a tiered volunteer incentive system which has been outlined below.
Club Volunteer Goal
- 80% active club members achieve at least 20 hours
- Develop an efficient/effective tracking system
- Develop a tiered incentive system
- Increase club culture surrounding volunteering
- Develop clear communication structure for clubhouse bookings to effectively coordinate volunteers
Sample Activities for Hour
- Flames & Hitmen 50/50 Fundraisers
- High School or other tournaments – relative
- Home club game 50/50’s – 1 hour/game
- Food prep/cleanup on Thursdays – 2 hour
- Recruit one active club member – 2 hours
- Initiating/execute fundraising idea – relative
- Spring / Fall / Weekly clean up – relative
- Secure sponsorship – relative
- Helping coach affiliated school clubs – relative
- Game day manager (pads, water bottles, etc) – 2-3 hours/game
Tiered Volunteer Incentive Program
- 20 hours = Free Club Training Top
- 30 hours = Free Thursday Meal
- 40 hours = Baseball Cap
- Person at the end of the year with the most volunteer hours receives a “bottomless” stein (engraved) at the year-end banquet.
